United TESOL's Caribbean TESOL Training Program:

United TESOL will offer a total of four practicum teaching placements in sunny Santa Lucia,  Cuba this winter.  Students will have the option of pursuing either a four or two week practicum teaching placement.   New this season, participants have the option of pursuing their TESOL certification and training in any one of our three UTIC campus locations prior to completing their practicum teaching placement in Cuba.  United TESOL is also pleased to offer participants the ability to teach either French or English as a second language as part of their teaching practicum.  TESOL certification program date options are as follows:

Ottawa:          November 30 - December 4, 2005  (8 seats left)               

                         January 11 - January 15, 2006                                       

Timmins:       December 14 - 18, 2006 (Limited Seats available)

Montreal:          To be announced                                 

Santa Lucia:  January 21 - January 28, 2006

TESOL Foundations Training:  Monday Jan. 23 -Saturday Jan. 28, 2006

Wednesday January 25 - No TESOL training 

                                               *Optional Tour of Camaguey City*

Advanced Specialist - 4 Week Practicum Teaching Placement Course Date Options:

Teach English:  January 28th - February 25th, 2006

                             February 18th -  March 18th, 2006  

Teach French: January 28th - February 25th, 2006

Standard Specialist - 2 Week Practicum Teaching Placement Course Date Options:

Teach English:  February 4th - February 18th, 2006

Teach French:  February 25th - March 11th, 2006

Note:  All practicum teaching placements are scheduled to begin on a Monday morning. Student teachers are requested to arrive in Santa Lucia at least 2 days prior to their actual selected practicum placement start date.  Course date options suggest participants arrive and check into their hotel between 2 & 4 pm on the Saturday prior to their selected practicum placement program.  A welcome banquet and orientation event will be held on Sunday afternoon. Attendance is mandatory.

**Student teachers wishing to arrive  in Santa Lucia more than two days prior to their selected course date option must ensure hotel availability and are required to make a reservation. Reservations beyond scheduled course arrival and departure dates are the responsibility of the individual student.
